I have bet £10 on Stan James and layed at betfair but i have had a look and it says` bet unmatched? What does this mean? Thanks

it means there wasn't enough money in the market when you placed the bet

take a read of this to understand what to do

So far so good, two offers down and £30 up in profit, I now need to maximise the profit I get from free bets. Please advise me on the odds I should go for without raising suspicion. Thank you

Hi there,
So far so good, i have made over £100 already and i'm impressed, now waiting for money to hit the bank so I can exploit new offers. I have just had a look at Smarkets to familiarise my self with the website, the layout is a bit different from betfair, is the side where we place lay odds green? Please confirm. Thank you for you help.

Unless I'm colour blind, it's the blue side for laying, green is for backing.

Generally the RIGHT-hand side is laying ('against') and the LEFT-hand side is backing ('for'). One quick way to tell is that when you are doing a lay bet then it will tell you the liability amount, which will not be there when it is a back-bet. Also the odds...always check the odds are what you are expecting them to be!

Thanks for your help,

Take it. Do occasional mug bets on popular sports would be my advice. Horses should be mugged sparingly e.g. on major competitions.

[member=4149]Christine2[/member] With William Hill you can't always 'see' the free bets, but once you put a selection into your bet slip then there's a little drop-down box where you can select to put the bet on using your free bet. Try that first. You don't have to actually place a bet, but it's just a way to check if your free bet is there. Then you can delete/remove your selection from your bet slip. Also, try logging out and back in again.

William Hill have got me before where they've sent me an email with an offer, I've done it according to the T&Cs and then it turns out that I should have opted in...even though the email didn't say that I needed to opt in, but if you click on the banner in the email it might take you to an 'opt in' page. What I would do is to go onto Live Chat and say something like, "You sent me an offer but I'm not sure how to find it" and just play the 'confused new account holder' sort of role. They can advise you...and if you should have opted in then they might waive it this one time and credit them for you manually.
