Help me help my girlfriend... £500 per month

Hi Shedders,

I have been trying my hand at working online in my spare time and have made a few £s, and it has really opened my eyes to what is out there and the possibilities. My girlfriend is a student who works in Tescos, and hates it. She makes around £500 per month but is struggling with the work/uni balance. Because she can't drive yet (is learning), she has a two hour commute to uni 4 times a week, and often gets up at 05:30, leaves at 06:30 for uni, goes straight from uni to work and gets back home at around 11pm only to repeat the cycle the next day. It can't continue! :'(

So, I would like to design her a work from home regime (if that's the right word), to be able to earn her £500 per month so that she can quit Tescos. This would free up so much travel time that would allow her to focus on her uni work and earning online. It would also allow her to be a bit happier as she's been struggling with the hours for too long now. She works around 20 hours a week but with travel time she spends probably closer to 35ish hours per week which could be spent working from home. This alongside being a full-time uni student is really difficult.

I know matched betting is the obvious answer but if I'm honest I don't know whether she would get on with it, so just in case she doesn't, I am asking all Shedders for any advice for things she could do to reach the magic £500. She doesn't have any specific skill either that she could sell. Any advice would be thoroughly appreciated.

Thank you.

****Also, I know all of the information is out there already but I feel some bespoke advice from experienced members would be so helpful.

Hi [member=1]Jon[/member], thanks for the sound advice. I was reading up on Leapforce earlier and it seems that a lot of people don't get through to the exam stage, is this the case? Also, from your experience, how many hours per week would you have to put in to get £500 per month out of Leapforce/similar platforms?

Appreciate the time taken to help me out here, thank you.

She'll get through, the exam are open book so just have the PDF with the guidelines open as you do it and she'll be fine

I'm not saying its not hard work to pass but if she wants to make £500+ a month and YOU want to keep it simple with something she can just login and do then Leapforce is an easy contender

You get paid by the hour way above minimum wage so maybe 15 or so hours a week..

Sounds like the perfect option. Thank you Jon, very much appreciated!!

Personally I've never been able to get into leapforce, I've applied twice and I didn't get in both times, they just didn't bother replying, I wish I could get in lol.

Personally I earn £250 a month doing surveys alone for 1-2 hours a day, 5 days a week which is above minimum wage (depending on whether it's a 4 or 5 week month)

I know it's not £500, but maybe it's something she could look into?

Thank you [member=920]katykicker[/member] and [member=2593]Jacobbarnard[/member] for taking the time to comment.

Katy, I am (hopefully) going to be taking the exam myself first and then sit with her through it, hopefully this will be a foolproof way of passing!

Jacob, that's a great insight, thank you very much. She spends around 4 hours on public transport a day so that is definitely something she could do even alongside Leapforce.

I am feeling positive!

You can't have two people on the same IP range working for leapforce

Good luck! I'm still on my mission to earn £500 a month :) I just can't seem to earn from anything other than surveys

Just checking in to see how you are getting on now, Have you and your friend been able to join leapforce yet?

Nope, I've already tried twice so doubt a 3rd time is worth it. Who's my friend lol? The op?

So I seem to have been swiftly ignored by Leapforce, possibly because I work full-time and put 1-10 hours per week. But I am delighted that my girlfriend has been invited to take the exam, so we will be taking this ASAP and will update you all when there is more news. ;D

I would suggest signing up to a number of mystery shopping sites in addition to the work, marketforce, HELION. In addition using cash back websites for purchases everyday such as topcashback
