This was originally a what has p*ssed you off, but has turned into a self satisfied smile.

Back in April, I won a nice prize that didn't arrive. I rang the company, tweeted them, FB messaged them.To start with they made all the right noises, then they started fobbing me off: someone was ill/on holiday/computer problems/supply problem etc.

I kept plugging away but about a month ago, they stopped replying to me. I tried putting a public complaint on their FB page, but they pre-approve everything, so not only did it not get published, but they deleted it without reply. Tried Twatting them, but there is only so much you can say in 140 characters.

So yesterday, in a fit of anger, I penned a public FB post, on my wall, tagging them, which they can't delete. Threatening to involve the ASA if they did not reply/provide my prize.

Surprise surprise the MD replied himself in minutes, saying that it was all miscommunication and that my prize, plus £100 of 'extras' will be sent today by him personally - result! :)

I hate getting heavy handed, but sometimes it's that or lose what you are entitled to and have won fair and square. So, my frown has definitely turned upside down - or will do once the goods arrive ;)

I've just done a survey. First question, how old are you. Let's just say that the answer came in the bottom two thirds of the options.
Next question: Are you pregnant? Erm, I think that would be pretty well impossible given the answer to the first question! ;)

Walking down to the Doctor's to make a routine appointment and being told 'We've just had a cancellation, take a seat'. In, seen, blood taken, back home with a cuppa in less than half an hour - result!

3.4% of the way through an aim. I'm wanting to save a BIG chunk of money from surveys alone and I have just over 6 months to do it! Eeeek.

I've just had a big Ebay/Amazon spend up from my survey earnings and have got everything for Christmas/Birthdays sorted - just gotta wrap it all up when it arrives now. Then I'll have the decks cleared for all of those lovely advent competitions ;)

On holiday so did a mini-break to a nearby city. Was about to be charged £150 per night for a nice hotel in the centre. Checked Airbnb and even a room was £110-130. Was about to book two nights in the hotel and decided to check to see if I could find any discount codes. Managed to locate a corporate booking code for my old company.

Saved £30 a night for the room
Included breakfast for £40 a day (2x£20)
Included Free wifi For £10 a day

So saved £160 on the hotel! Over 1 day's cost! :D

Not sure if using my old company's corporate code is 'money saving' or fraud...however no bastard copper is going to take me alive! :D

My baby girl has just had an offer accepted on a house. It's vacant, so she could be in by Christmas if all goes well :D
I might go and buy them a Christmas tree as a house warming present ;)

Paypal limited my account about a month ago. (too many surveys = too much money going through)
Anyways, after lots of jumping through hoops, they e-mailed again this morning to say they couldn't accept my photo id because it was out of date.
Now, being old school (don't drive, haven't gone abroad in decades, not old enough for a bus pass) I don't have any current photo id at all. So, rang em up and a very nice chap told me to upload some alternative forms of id and that he would personally lift the limitation within the hour - and he did. Yay! I'm happy.
