Good evening, I still seem to be churning videos out like a machine ;D ;D ;D

I am determined that this one is going to go viral, it needs as many views and shares as possible if you'd care to help out ...I've done blogger, pinterest twitter, facebook, and this forum, and put it at the top of every page on my website for 24 hours, can you think of anything else?

Septembers Figures in and confirmed

Adsense Youtube £652.10
Adsense website £127.95
123Greetings £93.88 (July & August)
Share-a-sale £44.16

Total for Month £918.08

Pretty pleased with that lot after the quiet summer.

Focus for the next month is creating more content for Youtube and especially 123 greetings, the talking animals and darth vader are the most popular so that will be the focus. I would also like to find some other income streams, spread the risk a bit more.

My cocktail dog video didn't exactly go viral but it did has clocked up 7200 views and £3.69 in 10 days so there's some potential, and an interesting experiment in heavily promoting a video from the start

Hi toffee, thanks, I just created an account and started uploading videos, then they asked my to join their partner program, it was very simple.

A few things to update

1. I got a copyright strike on one of my videos :-[ It was one I purchased on fivverr.com, I have contacted the owner and hope to be able to get him to retract it. The strike lasts for 6 months, and if you get 3 you get your account deleted, need to be careful

2. One of my affiliates that I promote on my website has suspended their program, What was annoying is that I wasn't told, so for the last 3 weeks the link has been going to an error page. I've now replaced it with some Amazon banners. It just shows its worth checking all the affiliate links once in a while - if you can remember where you put them all!

3. I've started looking for a youtube alternative 'just in case', the only thing I can find is Daily Motion, which I've signed up with, I'm not sure how it makes money tho

4. I've sold 3 fiverrr gigs this month, I get a total of $12 for that, pretty rubbish really, but pays better than surveys

Earnings for October look to be around £700+ again, but need to wait for confirmation. Youtube has been down a little in the last week or so

That's all to update today

Hi SkinnyLatte, thanks for posting on this thread, very interesting

I have started a Fashion/Burlesque Youtube channel mainly for my entertainment, I haven't thought how to monetize it yet... my question to you is technical: it takes me something like 40 minutes to upload a 2 or 3 minutes video, is that normal? my connection is alright (mobile broadband dongle) and I've tried both my connection and the Wifi at the coffee shop and they're both painfully slow ! in fact the Wifi is even faster. I had to bail once when it only upload 12 % of a 3 minutes video after an hour and a half !!

how do you upload videos? is it just a matter of connection or do you know a way to do it quicker?

thank you

uploading video will take a very long time on a mobile dongle you would be better off with a proper internet connection to be honest!

I don’t have a landline so mobile dongle is my only option, unless there are other ones I don’t know about? what would you suggest? thanks :)

Hi, yes the mobile dongle will be very slow, as will a public network, at home (or some-one elses) will be ideal. Saving your videos in a small file size will help them load faster, but then you lose the quality.
Sorry there's np easy answer to this one other that use a good connection

Novembers Figures in and confirmed

Adsense Youtube £660.77
Adsense website £131.49
Adsense search £1.18
123Greetings £74.56
Share-a-sale £33.80

Total for Month £901.90 down by £16.18
Google search has been added on my birthday website which netted £1.18, better than a poke in the eye.
I sold 4 fiverr gigs @ $16 but I can't figure out how to withdraw the money, so I've just been spending it on new gigs.

Amazon is creeping up slowly, I have $200 and need $250 for a payout, this income is generated from affiliate sales (like here http://www.great-happy-birthday-ideas.com/best-friend-birthday-gift-ideas.html) This is something I could make much more of if I had the time and inclination!!

I also did a very laborious task for views bank, having to ring 6 different companies for insurance quotes, no doubt I will get in undated with junk mail now, but it should pay out £25 in January so not too bad.

My copyright strike was never retracted, so that remains on my youtube account until April. this makes me a bit nervous, if I have 2 more my account gets deleted. Some of my earlier videos, before I knew what I was doing, are of dubious copyright origin, many I have deleted, but some of them still do really well, so I'm leaving them for now. :-\

A fair bit of time has been spent on Christmas videos, so here's my Christmas greeting to you all, have a good one

These are a great set of figures especially the You Tube earnings. Just a couple of things I would like to mention about what you said.

1. Withdrawing money from Fiverr should be quite straightforward. Have you linked your Paypal account to Fiverr and if so, once you press the payment facility on their site you should be sent an email to the address you provided for confirmation?

2. The Amazon.com (US) programme pays out at $100, so check your payment threshold in your account and change if required? All cheques will be sent to your registered home address.

3. Why don't you open up other YT accounts and have different channels for your videos rather than having your eggs in one basket with regards to copyright strikes? It will give you more piece of mind and be less nerve wracking for you and especially when you make excellent amounts for your videos?

Hi MB, Merry Christmas to you and thanks for your ideas, I think if you create different channels on youtube then they all get banned, it's the user that gets the copyright strikes not the channel. Unless you know different? It's a bit difficult to find reliable information about it.
Amazon has been pretty good sofar this month, but it usually is around Christmas $59, which takes the total to the year to over $250 so my cheque should be on it's way next month. $250 is the minimum my bank will accept for a foreign cheque, no idea why Amazon are sold old fashioned and can't use bank transfer or paypal.

Christmas on 123greetings has been pretty remarkable earnings for the month should come in at well over £100. the top contributor for December though has earned over £2k, in one month...from flash ecards...can you believe it??!!

Youtube I think will be around the same amount as last month.

So this year I have achieved
  • earned more than the target of £7200 I set my self at the start of the year, just! Will post totals later
  • Found a new revenue source with 123greetings
  • Taken my youtuber subscriber list from 12000 to 20000
  • Developed a facebookpage with 169000 fans

Learnings from this year have been
  • Don't infringe copyright
  • The more you put in the more you get out
  • Look for other income streams
  • Don't get carried away spending money, make the most of the resources I've got

Targets for next year
  • Increase my earnings by at least 25%
  • Remove any potential copyright violations on my channel

This is going to be difficult as I will need to be removing some of my top performing videos

Well that's it for now, I will update when I have the full totals for the year

Have a good new year every one x

I didn't think you could get a cheque sent direct to your bank - Is this for the Amazon US affiliate program? If it is then, you can easily go in to your setting and change it to $100 and they will send you future cheques to your registered address once it reaches the $100 threshold.

Happy New Year :)

Happy new year mbmetro100. yes it's for the US affiliate program. What I meant was, that the cheque is sent to my home address, but when I take it to the bank to pay in it has to be over $250, as they won't cash international cheques less than this. I found this out last time, I can take it into another bank, but that means driving into the city which is a bit of a pain. I don't mind waiting, I'm not losing out, just have to wait for it to build up. It's just annoying that they can't pay by paypal or something

I don't have that problem with amounts @ Barclays. I just fill out a cheque reconciliation form and sign it, which enables the transfer of currencies (US dollars - sterling)?
