I was looking at them , but it said you need to have children or you can't perform that task .

How long did it take roughly ?

It took moments (most of the questions are outside the store 'when do you buy x, where do you buy x') I'd say a couple of minutes, max. It does ask if you have children and what age they are, but it was around buying school supplies for them. I did't need to load a photo or birth certificates for them.

Anyone else notice the convenience store tasks have disappeared?

For the regulars...is that normal?

Bit nervous, they've been my saving grace :(

I got my first 'excuse me Madame, people don't normally take pictures...is there a problem?' With felix in my local co-op. I was very red faced, it would be my local one I go into most days!

Oh, and it was the 'madam' that got me the most...when did I get that old. I didn't realise the age denial I was in :))

I don't enjoy the ice cream ones

I did them at about £7 and still thought they weren't worth doing

Agreed. They're a lot of pictures, quite a long task, checking and photographing ice cream & point of sale advertising. I did some at £7 and that was just about worth it

Avoid them at all costs. Roamler are the Samplicious and Cint of tasks and will look for any excuse to avoid paying

I did! I blurted out 'mystery shopper!' With a sort of half wink & crooked smile. I was very cool. Not. He said nothing, turned on his heel & retreated to the store room.
I honestly don't know if he believed me or thought I was some kind of loon.

I did one yesterday - right royal pain in the rear end. You need to take lots of photos and not just of the ice cream freezers but of the inside of the shop itself. Not worth doing at the current price IMO.
Thanks for replies, might wait it out then

Haaaa excellent!! :D
For those wondering about the ice cream tasks, you use the LOA ,introduce yourself and explain the purpose of visit, i found the store had one wee freezer, take a few pics of it, the surroundings and inside.. and any promo material inside or outside shop. VERY simple task max 5 mins in and out... Last time around they peaked at £12 (nothing to say they will go up THIS time though) Because you arent doing it incognito it makes these tasks very easy.

I've been hoping to do some of these and this has convinced me to take the plunge haha. Saying that I've noticed a lot of the smaller stores have disappeared near me and left with larger ones like co-op.. Wonder if they are as welcoming as the smaller ones?!

Simon, larger stores are better in general for doing tasks in (As you blend in a LOT easier) Are you meaning specifically the ice cream tasks or generally doing Roamler tasks?... For larger stores when you are doing a task that is NOT incognito, you "MAY" be asked to sign in as a visitor... (best having ID with you) and generally the bigger the store the more likelihood they couldnt care less what you are going to do, as long as you sign in... With a small independent shop there is a high chance they will show you the door.

Ah that's really interesting. Ive been doing incognito tasks with roamler for a while but doing the ice-cream ones where you have to introduce yourself would really help money wise as so many more available.

I did a job for redwigwam last week actually just stock check in tesco and like you said they just had me sign in.

I thought the small local shops would be easier but I've yet to try a task that involves introducing to them.. i probably won't bother!

The thing with small independent shop tasks (the "standard" Roamler task) is doing incognito in these small shops can be incredibly hard to do (I wont touch any small shops after having a tin of peas flung at me by a shopkeeper LOL) but doing "up front" tasks, the worst that can happen they will just say no... very rarely (have NEVER heard of ) a larger chain shop will deny you a task that you have an LOA for and are not doing incognito.
I find the attitude in say a Coop or Tesco, the staff are employees and its no skin off their nose, with small corner shops the guy you speak to is likely the owner and will think you are doing price checking for a rival... not all, but that is my experience with most. Doing non incognito tasks are great, no pressure, no trying to be sneaky, they either let you do it or not.

Oh dear.. I'm def avoiding the smaller shops lol. I dread to think what could have been chucked at me.. Not sure where you are based, if you're familiar with them but I live in Margate and work in Dover, which has just been voted Britains worst town haha. It's bad enough being an actual customer in some of these shops! Thanks for the info it's definitely given me the push i needed to take it on the chin if the larger stores say no and move on! Do you know if they have a limit on the amount of these you can do in a day?

Dear Mabozza, you should have taken a photo of the shopkeeper throwing an item at you as this is the Roamler way :) and if you disagree you will be banned

I live near Glasgow... most the owners of the wee shops are fruitcakes LOL no big deal... Devils... its hard to take a pic of a tin hurtling at you while running like a loon hehe
Simon, yeah i just wont do those ones... Only really Roamler that posts tasks in corner shops, i note (certainly around here) that they hardly get taken, but as i say, any job with an LOA is worth at least asking to do if youre nearby, certainly bigger stores wont have any issue, very few tasks on any app have a limit to how many you can do, any that are limited will say on the task, ....always read the label LOL, only limits are usually to how many you can RESERVE at any given time (On Roamler your level determines how many you can reserve.. i am level 7 so can accept 7 tasks at a time (but TBH Roamler does'nt do tasks that you really need reserve loads at a time anyway)
