hey Suzanne I used your code
A researcher sent a message to me saying that I missed an attention check. Not so sure about that as I always read everything. Needless to say, she didn't pay and it would have been for the biggest amount yet - £2.50.
Haven't received even one study since yesterday now whereas usually, I've done one, two or three in a day.
@Doobee - If you use Chrome, there's an app you can download called VisualPing. You can set it up to notify you when there's been a change on a web page. I use it for Prolific and have noticed the difference.
If you don't use Chrome, I suspect there are other similar apps for other browsers.
Yeah those attention checks have come up a few times on here as being unfair
For Firefox you can use the Distill Web Monitor Add-on and it does the same thing.
I use it and it works well.
@misseb Thanks for the heads up about Visual Ping it's working brilliantly
Thank you. I've been using Auto Refresh which was working really well although silently. Hopefully, this will work better. If I don't hear anything today, then I'll know they're purposely not sending me any.
Many thanks @ Topaz . May as well wait until I get to £20 then as currently at around £19
Does anyone know of any auto refreshers that work with Safari?
@katykicker Googling auto refreshers for Safari brings up a couple of extensions. One is the 'safari tab reloader for Mac'. Don't know if that is any help to you? I am guessing you mean for a Mac?
The second one is the 'Auto Refresh in Safari' but some people are asking how to Disable this, so not sure if it is a bad one?
So far have been using it for just over 6 weeks, and earned £64.04 which isn't too bad. Was lucky enough to snag the £10 one that showed up yesterday too, it was approved within a few hours too. Haven't had any issues so far with submissions not being accepted.
Yeah I mean a MacBook Thank you x
Might be worth keeping an eye on your balances. I've just had 2 submissions approved but only 1 of them has been added to the balance. Hopefully will be sorted quickly (and hopefully hasn't happened before because I don't normally check!).
Just to update, had a reply saying not to worry as sometimes it can take a while for the balance to update (? never has in the past) and it still hasn't been added yet
How do you use this ?
i went on the website come up like this ?
am i doing this correct?
do the alerts only come by email??
@Cas - Did you download the app to your Chrome browser? If not, download it. Once it's downloaded:
- click on the blue VisualPing icon on the upper right-hand corner of your browser.
- select 'Browser'
- choose the time interval you want (how regularly you want the app to check the page you've chosen)
- then select 'Start Monitoring'.
It will then notify you with a ping every time there's a change to the page it's monitoring.
Thanks just downloaded it the web version was a bit funny . waiting on my first ping
That browse and rate websites one has been around for ages...no one seems to0 keen on that!
I wonder why? I'm not screen shotting my FB posts to a stranger for a few pennies! It sort of defeats the object of being kept as an anonymous number and turns you into a traceable person.
I had to start it and then return it to get it off my list as it was interfering with my page monitor - I wondered why I hadn't had any studies for a while.
I'm not doing that one either, not a chance.
Just cashed out basically £50
