    I won.....

I take it you're going to sell it then! I enter a lot of competitions too but haven't won anything as nice as an angle grinder ;) (And no, I don't want to buy it :P ) Closest thing I've won was a label maker...

    Dedicated email address

Yeah, I keep an email address especially for 'rubbish' and put it through two or three different spam filters. I enter a lot of competitions though so have set up keywords like 'winner' and 'congratulations' so they don't get thrown out with the spam. Googlemail seems to have a really good spam...

[OT] ShopandScan - Beep your shopping and earn some money

Re: ShopandScan - Beep your shopping and earn some money My daughter used to do ShopandScan (and roped me into helping her for half of the profit!) - just one thing to note, they weren't very pleasant when it came to returning the equipment and couldn't seem to organise a collection, kept...

What drives you to want to earn extra money?

My daughter got me into earning from home in my spare time (mostly through competitions as she is very lucky with them - although I never seem to win) but when I stumbled across Quidco etc. it started becoming something of a hobby/habit to look for ways of saving/earning a little extra. Slow Cookers - Anyone use these things?

I used my slow cooker a lot - we've got a Morphy Richards one. The recipe that seems to go down best with the family is sausage and bean casserole. (Kidney beans, butter beans, any other beans hanging around the house, a bit of wine (drink the rest), stock and sausages of course! Couple of quid...

Anyone planning a holiday this year?

OK the best money saving tip here is to stay with family and embarrass them into paying for everything as well. :P Having family on the Costa Del Sol was great (until they just returned to the UK without warning!)

What Antivirus/Anti spyware Program To Use For Androind Smartphone?

I reckon Avast Mobile Security & Anti-Virus offers a the best security and backup tools for Android phone and Android tablet, although you'll have to stump up for the Premium Tools to access anything much past the basic virus scanning, but that should be unnecessary for most people. I echo...

    Quidco [OT] Quidco

Yep, I've earn't over £1100 over the last few years and I have friends who are well over £2000. Problem is remembering to use them when buying stuff, I have amended many of the 'favourites' in the browser to point to Quidco instead of Flybe or Accor Hotels or whatever.
