Hi Katy
I have Shopmium, thanks. I tend to only use it when there is something that I specifically need from the supermarket. I don't buy sweets etc as I am on a diet. Most of the supermarkets I visit don't have the free items in them, which is really annoying. It's a good app nonetheless...
Hello my lovelies!
I hope you are all well. I think this is going to be the last post for the month, as July creeps ever closer and then it is a fresh start.
Some of this may be repetition but I think it is useful for me to weigh up what has happened this month. I set myself some goals and...
Hi everyone,
Just thought I would give you all a quick update. Money saving and generation is going very well. I have smashed my £50 target with Task360, Roamler, StreetSpotr and Prolific Academic earnings. I am sitting around the £54 mark and I will be doing three Holland and Barrett tasks...
The tasks in London tend to go very quickly - especially on Roamler. As soon as the regulars are released at 7.30 am they are gone. I find Task360 ones are more 'involved' and tend to have a slower uptake. I don't mind either way. It's all money :D
Thanks to all for your comments. I was just curious to see how much everything was. By the sounds of things, I don't have the time to do all the extras e.g. leafleting. If the returns are potentially that poor, I won't bother!
Totally forgot to put in my Prolific earnings this month so far. It has been a good one with the EU referendum around the corner!
I have had £10 cleared so far, so that brings my total up to....
£49.50/£50
At this rate, I might have to up my target!!!
Whoopsie! I haven't been great at keeping you all in the loop. My target is small but as a well known supermarket likes to say 'every little helps.' So far, I have made:
FieldAgent: £10
StreetSpotr: £8
Task360: £13.50
Roamler: £6
Total: £37.50/£50
I think I will manage my goal this...
Hi AWW
I have been reading the Frugal Food section - it is very good. I am trying to stretch my meals as far as possible at the moment. Today I made BBQ pulled gammon. I only had to buy the small gammon joint because the rest was storecupboard ingredients. We only ate half, so tomorrow I will...
I know that I am being silly but I find it hard to ask for help or to accept it. It is just the way I am wired. It took all my courage to speak to the Access to Work people and then had the metaphorical door slammed in my face. It has taken the wind out of my sails a little. To cheer myself up...
This is a separate scheme specifically for the disabled. It is not a benefit - it's a grant. It is to help you with disability-related issues and the workplace. For example, they can pay for adjustments to your working environment and taxi fares to and from work. It is open to the employed and...
I spoke to them today and I am apparently not eligible. They will only pay out for people who are too disabled to use public transport. I explained that there is no public transport where I live, so I am trapped. Doesn't make a blind bit of difference.
I made a big step forward today. I contacted Department for Work and Pensions to discuss Access to Work, which is a grant for folks with long-term disabilities. As I mentioned in previous posts, my village is not connected to public transport and getting to work as of next month is going to be a...
