Just cashed out on PA to find they're now charging for cashouts over £20 2.9% plus 20p.
They're recommending using Circle.com instead so no fees. Never heard of them before - worth signing up for?
Just received my cashout - was £21.45 and received £20.63. There is still a small benefit to waiting with all those 20p's that would be added on to each cashout in addition to the percentage. I think I'll end up looking into Circle to save all those 78p's per £20 cashout though.
A bit annoyed with this change to be fair. I don't want to own another financial product. I never heard of Circle and while it can has its' flaws, Paypal at least gives you a bit of a peace of mind. @ProlificAc , care to tell us why the sudden change?
I hadn't read the negatives, though I'd be weary of any online money service, my own bank included, so always keep an eye on accounts.
I signed up to Circle on Saturday, requested my Prolific payment.. Payment reached circle on Monday morning, I requested it to be moved to my bank account..It's only Wednesday but it's in there already! Must admit I'm pleasantly surprised at how quick it is, that there's no fee, and how easy it was to use. I did use the desktop version on my laptop so I can't comment on the mobile version (I don't use any mobile banking/money apps or sites as I don't feel safe using them!) So for me it gets a thumbs up from initial use!
I'm very well aware. I still expect them to communicate this clearly via email to users and give them to withdraw before the change comes into effect in case they do not want to use another method and had built up their balance. You can still use Paypal but just have to pay for it with fees.
I agree there should have been an e-mail sent out to let people know about the change rather than just letting people find out when they go to withdraw their earnings.I'm very well aware. I still expect them to communicate this clearly via email to users and give them to withdraw before the change comes into effect in case they do not want to use another method and had built up their balance.
